We are running cut/fill earthwork volumes between an existing ground surface and an extracted corridor datum surface. In complex day-lighting transitions, the TIN triangulation extends beyond daylight lines.

Is adding 'Corridor Extents as Outer Boundary' sufficient, or should we use Feature Line boundaries?

Corridor Extents as Outer Boundary can produce bow-tie triangulation artifacts at sharp horizontal tangent changes. The most reliable production workflow:

  1. In Corridor Properties → Boundaries, add Daylight_Cut and Daylight_Fill as Outer Boundaries using 'Corridor Extents'.
  2. Under Corridor Feature Lines, toggle 'Connect Feature Lines across regions' to prevent boundary holes at region transitions.
  3. If still crossing, extract the Daylight feature line and add it explicitly as a standard Hide Boundary on the Volume Surface.
