BIMUsers.com is a specialized platform where architecture, engineering, and construction professionals can upload, download, and share BIM-related content, including 3D models, Revit families, Dynamo scripts, and CAD resources.

Yes, we support Single Sign-On (SSO) via Google. You can link your Google account during the registration process or log in directly with Google for faster, password-free access.
Badges are awarded to recognize our community members. The Verified badge indicates that an account's professional identity has been confirmed. The Pioneer badge is a special designation for early adopters and highly active contributors to the BIMUsers platform.
You can manage your personal data by navigating to My Account > Data & Privacy. From there, you can click "Request Export" to download a file containing your personal data, or click "Delete Account" to permanently remove your account and associated data. You can also reach out to privacy@bimusers.com.
Files, Uploads & Downloads
We accept professional industry formats including .RVT, .RFA, .IFC, .DWG, .DYN (Dynamo), and standard image formats for previews. Malicious scripts or executable files (.exe) are strictly prohibited and will result in a ban.
Free users can upload files up to 30MB each. Premium members enjoy an increased individual file upload limit of 150MB.
You can easily track all your previous activity by going to My Account > History. Here, you will find a complete log of your downloaded files, allowing you to re-download them without searching the library again.
Navigate to My Account > My Files. From this dashboard, you can view the status of your uploaded models, edit file details, or remove content you previously shared with the community.
Files may be rejected if they lack proper previews, contain missing parameter data, violate copyright (e.g., uploading another manufacturer's proprietary model), or contain malicious metadata. You will receive an email explaining the specific reason.
No, currently BIMUsers is a public knowledge-sharing community. Any model or file you upload will be publicly accessible. Do not upload confidential client project files.
Premium Subscriptions & Billing
We offer three membership tiers to fit your needs:
- Basic (Free): Access to free files and up to 10 downloads per month.
- Premium (Monthly): Unlocks Premium files, customer support, and up to 100 downloads per month.
- Ultimate (Yearly): Includes everything in Premium, plus unlimited downloads and the exclusive ability to Request Custom Families.
Exclusive to our Ultimate (Yearly) plan, the "Request Custom Family" feature allows you to ask our team of BIM experts to create a specific Revit family tailored to your project requirements. Standard terms and complexity limits apply.

Note: Some advanced features, such as "Request Custom Family" and certain premium customer support services, may not be available during the trial. Standard T&Cs apply.
You can manage your subscription by navigating to My Account > My Profile and locating the Membership Status section. From the Subscriptions and Payments tabs, you can view your active plans, manage payments, or cancel your auto-renewal at any time.
As outlined in our Terms of Service, due to the nature of digital goods and instant file access, all sales are final. We do not offer prorated refunds for canceled subscriptions.
BIMUsers Revit Add-in
Our current Add-in officially supports Autodesk Revit 2022, 2023, and 2024. Support for older versions is deprecated to ensure security and stability.
Absolutely not. Our Add-in only collects basic telemetry (crash reports, plugin version). We do not scan, collect, or upload your private 3D models or company templates unless you explicitly press the "Upload to Community" button.
First, ensure you are running the latest version of both Revit and our Add-in. If the issue persists, disable the Add-in via the Revit Add-in Manager and submit a crash log to support@bimusers.com.
AI Features & Machine Learning
Our platform uses natural language processing (NLP) to understand complex search queries (e.g., "Fire-rated double doors with panic hardware"). It scans model metadata and parameters to find the closest match.
AI generation is an assistive tool, not a replacement for engineering judgment. AI models can "hallucinate" or provide inaccurate load-bearing or dimension data. You must independently verify all AI outputs before applying them to physical construction projects.
Community & Forums
Yes! We host an active community forum where you can ask technical questions, share workflows, and network with other BIM professionals. You can access it via the Forum Dashboard.
You can easily check your alerts by navigating to My Account > Notifications. We will notify you here about forum replies, subscription updates, and changes or feedback regarding your uploaded files.
Licensing & Commercial Use
Yes, you can use the files for drafting and rendering commercial projects. However, as stated in our Terms, you use them at your own risk. We do not guarantee the structural safety or regulatory compliance of any downloaded file.
No. Mass downloading, scraping, or repackaging content from our platform to sell on third-party websites is strictly prohibited and is a violation of our Terms of Service.
We respect intellectual property. If you represent a manufacturer or firm and believe your content was uploaded without permission, please submit a formal DMCA Takedown Notice to copyright@bimusers.com.
